Right Desires.
You only have a certain amount of energy released to you each day, so it is important that you do not waste it or allow it to get tied up with any false desires.
To take control over your desires :–
1) First understand the difference between false and true desires.
- A false desire is based on a sense of separation from God, your Source and from everyone else. This causes you to feel lack so you seek to own and possess people and material things to fill the emptiness. But even when you attain your desire, it does not fill the void and leaves you feeling un-whole and unsatisfied. So this causes you to want more and more and becomes a never-ending cycle.
- A true desire is based on a sense of Oneness with God, your Source and with everyone else. Because you feel connected to God and you realize all people are also connected to God, you choose to give and share God’s abundance. A true desire springs from the drive to Be More, to continually strive to become who you really are and will leave you feeling nurtured and fulfilled.
2) Examine your desires and see whether they spring from a sense of separation or Oneness.
3) Surrender your false desires, especially those that do not support your divine plan, where you want to:–
- have power and control over others.
- to restrict freedom.
- to put down, limit or destroy other parts of life.
- to be better than others.
- revenge, for justice through punishment.
- to feel you are right or to be proven right.
- to prove the worth of your ego.
- to prove your worth by having or doing more than anyone else.
- to hold on to material things.
- to own or possess people.
- to die.
- to run away from God.
- to worship idols.
4) A true desire is wanting:–
- to be a co-creator with God.
- to be reunited with your Higher Self.
- to bring your spiritual gift to the world.
- to express your divine individuality in this world.
- to Be More.
- to help bring God’s Kingdom to Earth.
- to experience the beauty of God’s creation.
- to be one with the River of Life in which you freely receive and freely give.
- to serve by raising up all Life.
