The 7th.Ray Life Lesson is “To thine own self be true.”
How can you be true to your own self in today’s world?
Many people do not even know who they are, so it is not possible for them to be true to themselves.
So the first requirement is for Wisdom—to know who you are and why you are here.
You real self is an immortal Spiritual being who is temporarily living in a physical body here on Earth.
You came here with a specific divine plan, with a unique gift to bring forth in this world.
But because this material world is very dense you have forgotten who you are and your connection to the spiritual realm.
You have created a personality, a personae, which you have based on the things of this world.
You have built up your identity around any of the following:–
- Gender.
- Race.
- Family background.
- Wealth or lack of it.
- Position in society.
- Educational achievements or lack of education.
- Accomplishments in your career.
- Country of origin.
- Religion.
- Political alliance.
- Relationship or lack of relationship.
- Sexual orientation.
- Role you are playing, eg. role of mother/father; mother/daughter; victim; martyr; aggressor; perfectionist.
To find your true self, you need to examine yourself and free yourself from those aspects of your personality that are not truly part of your true identity, but which form a “mask” behind which You hide, including your ego.
